Online tuition: subjects, fees and lesson setup
Which subjects and levels can I request?
Request Primary and Secondary English, Mathematics and Science, or JC / A-Level subjects such as General Paper and H2 Mathematics. Introductions depend on your subject, level, budget and shared availability.
How do you find a suitable tutor?
We review your learning needs, subject, level, budget and weekly availability before suggesting tutors. Tutor introductions show the qualifications and experience submitted by the tutor. Admin reviews profiles before matching; ask support which supporting information has been checked for a particular tutor before choosing whether to proceed.
Are there additional fees for learning tools?
Learning tools, if required, are subject to additional fees. Please contact us at admin@acetuition.net to find out more. Any fees will be confirmed before tools are arranged.
Can my child use physical worksheets?
Yes. Tools are arranged for physical and digital worksheets, with live tutor guidance. Bring a suitable laptop, webcam, microphone and reliable internet.
When are lesson details confirmed?
Both parties accept selected weekly times. Admin prepares the invoice, and contacts are released after full parent payment is verified.
What happens when tuition ends?
Send written notice by email or WhatsApp with your requested end date. For new bookings, give at least 24 hours’ notice before a lesson for no lesson charge; late parent cancellations may incur up to 50%, with emergency review. Tutor-cancelled lessons are not charged. We aim to acknowledge within one business day, reconcile within three business days and refund agreed unused prepaid amounts within seven business days after agreeing the final balance. How much does it cost?
Hourly rates are shown with tutor introductions. Tuition invoices add 9% GST to the agreed tuition charges. Learning tools, delivery or collection may involve additional agreed charges. Indicative guides are S$25–55/hour for Primary, S$35–70 for Secondary and S$50–100 for JC. Former-school-teacher and specialist offers are quoted separately.
